The project
Brief
Turn original live-action footage into an architectural transformation that demonstrates how CGI and VFX can reshape a real environment for portfolio and social media.
Challenge
The architectural design and transformation needed to sit naturally inside the filmed plate. Accurate perspective, believable integration and a clean transition were essential for the effect to feel photographed rather than overlaid.
Approach
Original footage was filmed for the shot, tracked with After Effects 3D Camera Tracker and used as the foundation for the 3D build. The architecture was modelled in 3ds Max, rendered with V-Ray and integrated through compositing and final editing.
Outcome
The personal study was published across social media, received strong engagement and contributed to new project and client enquiries.
